R & R Group LLC was founded in 2009 by Andrew Robinson and Jill Robinson to assist entrepreneurs to create value for clients respective investors and shareholders.

As long time Silicon Valley veterans the team had seen that as companies grow and experience success, the need for diverse and trusted expertise grows, however, access to this expertise is not always readily available or affordable for many companies. Our Team's Managing Members


Andrew Robinson is a long-time Silicon Valley entrepreneur and brings 18 years of experience to the our team. Prior to founding R & R Group, LLC., Andrew was SVP Operations ZillionTV a IPTV company, where he was responsible for Network & Platform Operations, and Affiliate Business Relations. Prior to ZillionTV Andrew was Principal Architect for Akamai Technologies. (NASDAQ: AKAM), Andrew joined Akamai as part of its acquisition of Netli, Inc. Netli was an application delivery network company that specialized in the use of TCP/IP acceleration technology. During his tenure at Netli, he held various executive team roles, including operations and customer and technical support, pre-sales support, carrier support, strategic alliances, and reseller channel management. As part of the executive team, he assisted the company in raising approximately $40 million from a combination of Bessemer, Morgenthaler, Granite Ventures, and other venture capital firms. Prior to Netli, Andrew was VP Operations for Telocity, Inc. (NASDAQ: TLCT), a DSL service provider. During his tenure at Telocity, he was responsible for deploying Telocity's services throughout the United States. As part of the executive team, Andrew raised more than $120 million in venture capital funding and completed a successful $1.2 billion initial public offering in March 2000. Jill Robinson As founder and Managing Member, Jill leads our Information Technology and Operations practice. She brings over 20 years of experience to the team. Most recently she is Sr. IT Director for ZillionTV, an IPTV startup company. Prior to ZillionTV she held Director of IT Operations roles for Radiance Technologies (purchased by Comcast in 2007), EORM and Telocity (purchased by DirecTV in 2000). With these roles she gained expertise in the following areas: Data Center build outs, Facility and Data Center relocations, Building of NOCs/Monitoring, Active Directory planning and support, MS Exchange installation and support, telephone system support including Call Center design. Additionally, she has assisted small to medium sized companies properly create policies and procedures to ensure security and operational consistency issues are in place preparing for company growth.



Our Consultants

Jay Jonekait is a serial entrepreneur and advisor, with 40 years of experience in Silicon Valley. As an entrepreneur, he has had 3 major successes in businesses he was instrumental in creating. He developed the original business plan for Metropolitan Fiber Systems (sold to Worldcom for $16B), and Telocity ($1.2B IPO). He was instrumental in restructuring the business plan at Netli, and served as CFO when it was sold to Akamai for 25 times Revenues in 2007. He has served in multiple line roles, including VP of Engineering, VP Business Development, VP Strategic Planning, as well as CFO. In an earlier lifetime, he was a principal at H&Q Technology Partners, where he developed new strategic initiatives and did supporting M&A work for Fortune 500 companies such as Amdahl, Prime Computer, Texas Instruments, TRW, ESL, SAIC, Hughes, Nippon Steel, Martin Marietta and FMC Corporation. His business planning background is extremely broad, ranging from high technology computers and communication businesses to such pedestrian products as light bulbs and glass recycling equipment. He is passionately devoted to the service business model, with full awareness of the associated difficulties in ramping revenue to reach sustaining levels.


Steve Ghareeb is a business executive experienced in business development, strategic operations, program management, partnerships and large-scale service-delivery. He has over 25 years straddling both sides of the startup and Fortune 1000 fence working in telecommunications, ip services, software, and building large-scale infrastructure systems. Employers, clients and partners in various industries include GE, Cisco Systems, Ameritech-ATT, Telocity, UUNET-Verizon, BBN, Digex, AOL, MSN, Bloomberg Financial, NationsBank-Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, Accenture, as well as several state government organizations. His focus is finding the right business opportunities, then executing on revenue generation and delivery through competent multi-organizational teams. This includes leveraging process and metrics to achieve the desired outcomes, typically concentrated on revenue and cash flow. Peter D. Olson is a veteran entrepreneur and technologist, with more than 40 years of experience in the technology industry. He combines deep, first-hand knowledge of a broad selection of technologies with entrepreneurial savvy. For the past two years, Mr. Olson was CTO of Internet company Beema Inc, where he was responsible for developing the system along with interfaces to Facebook and Twitter. Prior to this Mr. Olson ran his own consulting firm, PDO Designs. Representative projects include: develop an architecture and implement a DSP solution for noise reduction to be used in headsets, develop a research plan and implement a product to vaporize non water soluble drugs in order to deliver them to the respiratory tract and develop the architecture and implement a product for gathering and retrieving information using speech recognition. Prior to this Mr. Olson founded four profitable technology companies: Telocity, Inc, Octel Communications, Flycast Communications and System Industries. A Telocity co-founder, Mr. Olson was the high-speed DSL provider's CTO and was responsible for the architecture and development of the broadband ISPs data delivery network. Telocity had a $1.2Billion IPO and was later acquired by GM Hughes/DirecTV in 2000. As founding investor at Flycast (now Engage), he helped formulate the business and technology strategy that led to the marketing solutions company's rapid growth and acquisition by CMGI for $1.8 billion in 1999. At Octel, he was co-founder and CTO. He was instrumental in developing the technology that enabled voice applications and opened the market for service providers to offer enhanced voice services. Octel became the industry leader in sales of voice messaging systems, in both the enterprise and service provider markets with annual sales in excess of $800 million. The Company was acquired by Lucent in 1997 for $1.8 billion. Mr. Olson was co-founder and CTO of System Industries where he led their technology group while it became the industry's leading disc system provider. He started System Industries when he was a professor at Stanford University Graduate School of Business.


Robert Mitchell is an experienced strategic corporate finance professional whose career has spanned a variety of roles including sell-side M&A, corporate M&A, corporate budgeting and planning, venture capital investing and diligence, equity and debt financing, strategic partnerships and investor relations. His extensive strategic corporate finance experience has yielded him a high proficiency with financial and business modeling, presentation skills, team-based projects, investor relations, strategic positioning, competitive analysis and term sheet negotiations. Lastly, he provides clients a unique set of corporate environment perspectives having held positions in an Investment Bank, a Fortune 100 technology company, a Venture Capital firm and a Digital Media startup. Most recently, Robert was a Senior Director of Business Development at ZillionTV Corporation, Digital Media startup, where he led efforts around the company’s strategic partnerships and financing activities. Specific deliverables included developing the company’s 5-year revenue model, 5-year operating model, investor memorandum and management presentation. He negotiated, drafted and executed numerous, complex term sheets with ZillionTV partners that outlined market trial deployments and revenue share agreements. With regards to financing, he served as the main interface of ZillionTV Corporation to the investor community; such interactions include pitching prospective investors, conducting financial diligence sessions and responding to research analyst questions. These efforts have yielded over $25M of equity and debt financing for ZillionTV. Prior to ZillionTV, Robert was a senior associate with TriplePoint Capital, a venture debt and leasing firm, where he led deal support for more than $60M in venture debt and venture leasing financings for early-stage digital media and software companies and late-stage telecommunications equipment companies. At TriplePoint Capital he was responsible for conducting due diligence, valuation, pro forma cash flow analyses and credit assessments and preparing diligence memorandums for commitment committee presentations. Before joining TriplePoint Capital, Robert was a finance business manager with Cisco Systems. During this three year duration at Cisco, Robert held positions with World Wide Channels Finance and M&A Finance. At Cisco, he worked on the spin-in of Nuova Systems, the investment in VMware and the acquisitions of BroadWare Technologies, SpansLogic and NeoPath Networks. Prior to Cisco, Robert was a financial analyst with Needham & Company, a boutique investment bank focused on M&A advisory and equity financings for technology companies. Robert received his MBA from Washington University in St. Louis with a concentration in Finance & Strategy and was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, the national honor society for business academics. For his undergraduate studies, he received a BA in Quantitative Economics from Tufts University where he graduated Cum Laude and was inducted into the Golden Key National Honor Society.
